Why are electric cooperatives becoming involved in the telecommunications business? Actually, we have been in the telecommunications business for 40 years but never told anyone! Our network was initially built to serve our internal needs, but now, addressing the needs of our consumers, Sho-Me Technologies is pleased to offer other businesses access to this state-of-the-art network. back to top What areas do you serve? Sho-Me Technologies currently connects with sites in Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas ( Network Map ). Our network continues to grow, and through interconnection with other carriers, we can provide services to almost anywhere. back to top I have several offices across the state. Can I have them networked together? Yes, this is one of our primary services. We have provided several banks, schools, hospitals and other businesses network connectivity across town and across the state. back to top Do you bring fiber optic cable to my location? In most applications, we will bring fiber optic facilities to the customer premises in order to deliver broadband services. In some instances, we use wireless links and local telephone company facilities to deliver services. back to top Do you provide high-speed Internet? Sho-Me Technologies has access to several Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and can deliver high-speed connections via fiber optic cable and wireless links. back to top What if I have a problem with my connection? The Cooperatives' Broadband Network is comprised of several electric cooperatives across Missouri and Oklahoma.  With more than 2,500 miles of fiber and over 150 Points of Presence, the Cooperatives' Broadband Network boasts the highest coverage of optical bandwidth in the area. With co-location facilities in major Points of Presence, the Cooperatives' Broadband Network also has interconnection with other carriers, gaining access to the anywhere in the world. back to top
