Distance Learning Consortiums

Sho-Me Technologies also works with the Distance Learning consortiums, Ozarknet and Frisconet.

Ozarknet

Ozarknet is a group of seven schools who share teachers over a video conferencing system to provide a broader range of classes. The seven schools are:

  • Bolivar R-I
  • Dallas County R-I ( Buffalo)
  • Halfway R-III
  • Hickory County R-I ( Urbana)
  • Humansville R-IV
  • Marion C. Early R-V
  • Wheatland R-II (Morrisville)

Frisconet

Frisconet is another group that accomplishes the same mission. There are currently three schools involved. They are:

  • Richland R-IV Laquey R-V
  • Crocker R-II
  • Stoutland R-II

The distance-learning consortium is very innovative and efficient and it really seems to be working well for each of these schools. This could be something that your district and other neighboring schools might be interested in. The option to join one of these two consortiums is also open.
